Jobs » Accessible Web Designer

We have a few web site design projects coming up that need a part time web designer. Ideally you will know about accessibility and usability and have used tools to measure and improve user interaction with your designs. If you also understand what can done with AJAX (and you have a preferred framework, such as the Yahoo User Interface Library or Scriptaculous/Prototype, etc) that'd be even better - we're hoping to offer a rich user interface experience, as well as accessibility.

Some client meetings in London and Bedford may be required - so we don't think this is suitable for long distance work - feel free to convince us otherwise.

We do not believe that web design can be improved for users without looking at user behaviour on the site. Don't even think of trying to convince us that pure introspection alone is sufficient to design optimal sites. We are prepared to consider graduates with an interest in accessible and usable web design, but who have no significant portfolio.

Rate: £negotiable - think "between £100 to £400 per day", depending on skills and experience.
